Position Yourself For Success
Position Texas Allied Petroleum for Success By Michael Angier.
“Just like in a race or game of chess, you must position yourself to make the right move. By being in the right place
at the right time, you can dramatically increase your chances for success in any endeavor.”
In the spring of 1940, Winston Churchill was asked to lead Great Britain in its defense against Germany. Few could argue that Churchill was the right person for the job.
He later wrote, “I felt as if I were walking with destiny, and that all my past life had been but a preparation for this hour and for this trial.” The new Prime Minister became one of the greatest statesmen in world history. He helped England successfully resist and (with the help of the U.S.) eventually defeat the Nazi war machine.
He was prepared for leadership.
We don’t have control over what happens to us. We do have a great deal of control over how we prepare ourselves and position ourselves for reaching our goals.
There may be times in our lives when the path ahead is unclear-when we’re not quite sure of which direction we should choose. If this is the case, we can always prepare for that time when we are clear and we do know exactly what to do. This can be a valuable time of preparation. And it can pay big dividends. Oftentimes, merely the process of preparation-the activity itself-will provide clarity and certainty as to our plans.
I recommend you use the following checklist to improve your personal positioning. How do you rate in each area? What can you do to enhance your preparedness?
1. Health and Vitality. You can’t have get-up-and-go if you don’t have a reserve of energy and good health. We must take care of ourselves in order to have the drive and strength to go after our dreams. You know what to do. It’s common sense. Eat right, get adequate rest, and take good care of your body. It’s the only one you get.
2. Education and Skills. What you know and what you can do in terms of skills is a big part of your positioning. What skills do you need to work on? What do you need to learn? Take some classes. Do some research. Read. Make a commitment to a life-long search for knowledge and upgrading your skills. It will not only increase your preparation quotient, but it will keep you feeling stimulated-even young.
3. Contacts. The people you know and the relationships you’ve developed over the years can be a virtual gold mine to you. It’s imperative you cultivate and build your associations in order to obtain help and round up talent for your projects.
4. Self-Image and Self-Esteem. How you feel about yourself comes across to others. It can’t be faked. You increase your self-esteem by doing the right thing-always. You improve your confidence by doing what you say you’ll do-whether you say it to yourself or to others. Every time we lie, we chip away at our self-image.
There is no status quo. We either build or tear down our self-esteem. Integrity is the essence of everything successful.
5. Finances and Credit. Most opportunities involve an investment of money as well as time and energy. Having money in the bank and good credit on which to borrow can go a long way toward tipping the scales in your favor. In the world of business, “cash is king.” Pay off those debts and create some savings (if you haven’t already) and get ready.
6. Attitude. People with good attitudes not only get more done, they attract opportunity and people who can help them.

How to Achieve Success – A Primer For Income Generation
Texas Allied Petroleum Income Generation By Niko Poulios.
“…our love of what is beautiful does not lend to extravagance; our love of things of the mind does not make us soft. We regard wealth as something to be properly used rather than as something to boast about. As for poverty, no one need be ashamed to admit it; the real shame is not taking practical measures to escape from it…” Pericles. 430 B.C.
SUCCESS! What is success? According to the dictionary, success is the attainment of wealth, favor or eminence. A favorable termination of a venture. So the next logical question is, what is wealth? Again, according to the dictionary, wealth is abundance of valuable material possessions or resources.
One may observe that our world is covered with an abundance of materials and resources, which brings us to the third and most fundamental question of: how come these material possessions and resources are in the hands of a very small group of people, people who are considered to be …wealthy? Who are these people? Are they different? How did they become successful?
These are the basic questions that average people ask when they can take a moment from their daily routines of “trying to make a living”. I have spent a good number of years of my life reading and learning about successful people and all this research has brought me to this monumental finding: in life, if you want to become a doctor you study medicine, if you want to become an architect you study architecture, therefore, if you want to become successful, you have to study success!
Most people would like to become successful and accumulate wealth. Statistics indicate that a lot of them try and fail. If you think about it, the reason is very simple: most of us, as we are growing up, we are constantly bombarded with information about what we can and can not do by people from our immediate environment, who basically care about us but, with a few exceptions, have not accomplished much and sometimes are failures. Unless you come from a family of millionaires, chances are that your grandparents depend on some form of assistance for survival, such as, social security, family help or other assistance, and your parents are probably struggling to make a living to help you get a job or to go to college so that you can go out and struggle for a living.
It turns out that you are taught to be “average” every day of your life, by average people, thus if you dare to think success, the thought alone will probably shock you. That is why becoming successful, wealthy, and staying wealthy has to do with conditioning yourself, your mind, your thoughts, your beliefs, your instincts, to think different, to think successful and to think wealthy.

Success – A Matter of Attitude
Matter of Texas Allied Petroleum Attitude By Louie Ang.
Success has always been a matter of attitude. In the past, there have been many figures that made great contributions to society despite their predicament or lack of opportunity. One of the more renowned examples is Beethoven who despite losing his hearing composed some of the best pieces in the history of music. The time might’ve been different but the drive to succeed should be no different today than it was back then.
Here in the country, success stories are a dime a dozen but even though there are plenty here that made it to the top people still ask how they did it. Let me tell you one thing about them, they are where they are because they had the right attitude in reaching their goal. According Teodorico Haresco, Philippines’ resident entrepreneur, it doesn’t matter where you came from but how you deal with adversities along the way to get to where you want to be. I admit that having the attitude for success isn’t the only thing you need but it can surely give you the drive to acquire the necessary requirements for you to improve yourself and finally reach your goal.
One thing that I’ve learned from experience is that no matter how good you are, your attitude towards any task will affect its outcome. If your state of mind is directed towards failure then even if you finish a task it will still turn out mediocre. If you believe that you would succeed and put in all your effort then even if the task is small it will still garner praises. I personally believe that a sense of balance is your best tool when it comes to any venture and knowing when to move forward and stop is something that could save you from unwanted outcomes. Knowledge, experience and the right attitude will certainly lead you to the right road to success.
